Picking up where 2007's surprise release “Fates" left off. “Equilibrium” is the
second album from Montreal's acoustic guitar genius and #1
Youtube sensation, Erik Mongrain featuring special guests Michael Manring and
Bill Plummer. Recorded at Paul Reed Smith's Dragon Crossing
Studios (PRS Guitars) in August 2008, Equilibrium once again demonstrates that
special talent which hundreds of thousands have witnessed online
and raved about since.
Before Equilibrium is released worldwide, the album will debut in Erik's home
country where extensive publicity, promotion and,
eventually, touring will take place.
An extensive Publicity campaign has begun with significant focus on Quebec by
Montreal's Gong Communications addressing all press and
campus/community targets in the region and by many other firms in the world.
Live dates are to be announced in Quebec to coincide with the release of
Equilibrium with more dates to follow after touring Europe in
November 2008.
The emphasis radio track will be "Pandora's Box”.
There will be a video for the title track “Equilibrium” made by “La Fabrique
d’Image”
which will be serviced to video outlets for December 2008.

Music fans will be directed to online live performances by Erik who
illustrates his terrific talent and techniques on the website. In fact, for
the launch of the “Equilibrium" album, an exclusive world wide concert will
be presented on October 21 at noon - time zone UTC-5 (Montreal / New York).
The concert will mark the launch of the Erik Mongrain’s second album and
will be rebroadcast every hour to cover all zones of the planet in the day
of 21 October 2008. |
